  1. oh ok, i understand.. duh. lol. well ive been extreeemly bizzy working and traveling, im going to hafto do it when i have time, i hardly ever have time for myself these days, im still on here from time2time tho, you can just move on to other projects for a while and ill ask my girlfriend to help me with the computer stuff soon… shes pretty good at that stuff…. i just need more time.. time

  2. Oh man… I told you: I already read everything you wrote in my Visor Red theme, so I know about your friend Jerry… I’m so sorry about that, and I perfectly understand the reason why you asked me the Doom theme!
But, again, looks like you didn’t read what I told you last time, and it seems we’re climbing up the “Babel Tower”, since we’re not understanding each other…
So, here is what I told you the first time in Fallout NV Dynamic Theme (when you thought I was “kicking you off”):

“No, I’m not kicking you off, mate… but I’d like to know what to do.
I mean, if you can get a Doom dynamic theme, you probably no longer need a standard one…
Last time, you said you’re not so impressed by these dynamic themes, but at the same time you asked for one of them: well, don’t get me wrong, but I’m confused, so… what am I supposed to do?”

And that’s what I told you in my Shining Stars theme (when you said “read the comments and then judge”):

“Oh man… I’m not judging you in any way, mate, as well as I’ve not “kicked you off” as you’ve supposed: If you had read what I said, you would know…
But you write something, then you disappear for days… and everytime I reply, you never get back to check.
So, go to the first New Vegas dynamic theme and read my replies from the beginning.”

Anyway, since I always keep my promises, I’ll surely make your theme (and if you remember, I told you that too) and I already started searching for some good material.
But here is the big problem… I’m searching everywhere like a “damn thief in the King’s royal room” 😛 but all I’m finding are only crap images (1024×768 or 1600×1200) which are absolutely not good for a theme: I even searched in the ID Software official site, but nothing!
Well, I don’t really know how and where you found all the material you told me about, but I think you’ve collected all that stuff over the months or even years.
I’d really like to make your theme, my friend (and you know you’re the only one to whom I gave my email address, just to help you getting the theme) but I’m starting to feel frustrated with the fact I’m not managing to find the right material to fulfil your request.
So, we’re back to the starting point: now it’s your turn to help me, by finding a way to finally give me all your images and icons…

  3. Thanks, mate!
Well, that’s because I think the fact of not knowing the subject for a theme, cannot be an “excuse” for having made a mediocre work. So, I always try to catch the right inspiration (in that case, I even watched an entire episode of Scrubs :P)…

    Yep, indeed… 🙁
But it doesn’t matter anymore, by now…

Oooh yeeeaaah, “Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli” style… 😀

  4. Thats what nice about you- Even if you don’t know what the subject is all about (scrubs, demon souls, home front…) you end up with something that works and has an idk over all feel to them. I’m a huge scrubs fan and when I saw that theme (I think that might me the first one of yours I downloaded?) I figured the maker was a big fan too.

Not really a long time per say, only a year. I heard you had some “issues”, so I’m sure it seemed a lot longer. Time flies when your having fun *80’s style thumbs up*!!

  5. Wow! Really glad to hear that someone still remembers and loves that theme: thanks, mate!
(Yep, better late than never… :D)

Yeah, my Scrubs theme… I think it’s been one of the most difficult I ever made because of it’s “nature”. Funny thing is that when Dahl asked me to make it, I didn’t even know that TV series: so, I had to document myself making a lot of searches. 😛
Aaah, long time has passed since then…

  6. Yeah, I just realized you made the scrubs theme!! Me & my friends love(d) that theme. I just downloaded it on another friends PS3 & saw your name. A tad late but great job on that one too bro!!! LOL, better late then never right?

    @OPTIMUS
Do you mean what am I currently working on? If so, I am waiting to see what people have to say about my first theme, then I’ll go from there.
I made sure I gave you credit. But I still forgot about some icons anyway. First Theme right?

    Oh, got it!
I thought you were already working on a new theme after uploaded your first one: you know, once you started, you’re addicted… 😛

Anyway, don’t worry about what people say: just make your themes with passion, and over time you’ll be appreciated more and more.
When I started, I was nothing, but… look at me now 😀

  10. Kwazy32:

Hey OPTIMUS, I uploaded that theme. I just thought I’d tell you that I took a couple of your icons because I couldnt find a Trophy or Powersave icon in the sample folder they had, so I hope you are O.K. with that.

Noooooo problem, bro! You can use everything you want (provided you give credit, of course… :D)
So, what are you working on?

  11. i cant find the comment your refering to optimus, but i still want you to do my damn theme!!!! DAMNIT!!!!!!!! lol.

  13. DeathNinja666:

Nice work man, keep it up. Also, I too would love to see you make a Dynamic Theme, but stay in your comfort zone.

    Thanks a lot!

Well, as I said, the dynamic editor is too limited to develop my ideas as I wish, so… no dynamic stuff for now 😛

  14. NavySeal74:

Nice theme again mate as per usual
Hows thing hope things going better for ya

    Thank you, my friend!

Oh, things are going quite better…
Well, actually I’m still searching for a new job… anyway, it could be worse, so let’s say that everything’s ok for now 😉

  15. mccloud_38:

Hey OPTIMUS, personally i think you are one of the best theme creators out there. I would really love to see what you can do with a dynamic theme.
p.s. can you look up the themes ive made and give me pointers on how to make them better (search Dustin McCloud). I would appreciate it man

    Thanks a lot, mate!
Well, I have lots of ideas for dynamic themes, but for me that dynamic editor is too limited to make what I’d really like to make… 🙁

Sure, I will! (anyway, I remember your SMOKE theme: I really liked it!)

  16. Penningstoned420:

The Contra code will forever be in my brain, I must have entered that code in thousands of times. Also the blood & other code for Mortal Kombat 2 on Sega- A B A C A B B & DULLARD!!!

    Aahh, Contra… good memories!

  17. dead_ng:

so OPTIMUS whats ur next theme ?

    Hmmm… I don’t know.
Well, actually I’m searching for some Doom game material to make the theme Doom asked me time ago, but I’m still waiting for his answer…

  20. Yep, I thought the same thing.
This time, Anonymous said they’re not involved, so… Who did it? And… did they really steal something? Or did they just messed up the servers?
    Mystery… O_o

    Lol! Me too!
I remember lots of cheat codes for PS1 games!
Especially the one for Ridge Racer (which I bought along with the PlayStation at day 1)…
By holding down L1, Triangle, X and UP on the D-pad, it was possible to get 2 ships side by side in the Galaga game: this way, the firepower was doubled and it was easier to beat the game and get the bonus cars… 😀

Hey, Yogosan! Why don’t we open a cheat codes service? 😛

  21. i still remember the cheat code from doom that gave you infinite health, ammo. and all the weapons, X, tiangle, L1, UP, DOWN, R2, LEFT, LEFT. i swear back in the day i could enter it in 1/4 of a second. for some reason it just wont leave my mind, probably because it was the first cheat code i ever learned, on the first game i ever played for ps1!

  22. yahoo had this news posted a few days ago when even sony didnt know if the credit card details had been taken or not. at the time it made no sense at all. but now they kinda have confirmed it, to be honest i dont think sony has a clue whats going on!

  23. doom:

hey optimus! check out your comments on the visor red theme! then judge….

Oh man… I’m not judging you in any way, mate, as well as I’ve not “kicked you off” as you’ve supposed 🙁 If you had read what I said, you would know…
But you write something, then you disappear for days… and everytime I reply, you never get back to check.
So, go to the first New Vegas dynamic theme and read my replies from the beginning.

  24. yogosan:

i never put my credit card details on psn, they should open it up especially for me!what really annoyed me was when i was reading yahoo’s news segments, which are always a fun read, because of their absolutey awful journalistic sales. right there on the home page for all to see ‘sony psn credit card details stolen’. that is completely unknown at this stage really.
another funny one i read was about the wii2, it said in the article ‘wii2, the successor to the best selling home console in the world to be released next year’……..erm wii has around 80 million sales…the ps2 has around 150 million…..thats quite a difference!

Lol! Yeah, those news are always… abstract! 😀

But for the credit cards, well, it seems that Sony really confirmed that… and now, looks like a U.S. Senator sought an explanation as to why Sony has announced it a week late.

Oh well: true or false, fortunately I’m not a PSN user… 😛

  25. dead_ng:

    Uh, wait: low voice… 😛

Yep, all that’s happening to the PSN is a real mess… Anonymous first, and now who knows?
And just today, my japanese friend told me that Sony confirmed that many personal data were stolen along with the credit cards codes… O_o

    Thanks again, mate!
    Shhhh… Shhhh…

  29. Impressive theme man,
    very impressive.

These are dark (& hard) times for us psn users and yet with this theme on, i feel so quiet and peaceful …

    Shhhh, Shhhh
    It’s, oh, so quiet shh,shh
    It’s, oh, so still shh,shh

    Please keep em coming man,
    thx 4 sharing.

    Schumi:

Optimus, been popping in and out, and to be honest, not much has caught my eye, but this stood out. and i had to have it.
    Keep up the amazing work.
    Cheers mate.

    Oh, I see…
So it also means that, from the day I’m back here, you missed some good themes: there’s Yogosan’s Dead Space 2, for example, or my Demon’s Souls theme (which has been in the top places for long time… )
Well, it doesn’t matter, my friend: if you like this theme, I can only thank you and be very happy!

Damn will check them out, i must have missed them.

    Goes off to check them.

  31. Necrophidius:

I agree. Not a lot does stand out now days. I’m not saying everyone does bad work, it’s just everyone seems to be on this “Dynamic” kick lately. The new themes aren’t really dynamic….. just some fog added and maybe a spinning icon. If the Dynamic theme creator allowed the creation of entirely new themes instead of basing them off of old ones, that would be fantastic.

Yep, I can only agree with you, mate. I call these themes “pseudo-dynamic” right for this reason…
As you say, the editor to make them is limited to those few ones included in it, and it allows to replace only few parts, which are always the same for every theme created: this way, all themes are already starting to be too similar…
Well, let’s say it’s a good start, but for me it’s too limited to make what I’d really like to make.
That’s why I still create standard themes: I don’t wanna sound conceited :P, but I think that my Demon’s Souls theme and this one as well, are a perfect example of what can be done even if not dynamic…
