optimus do you have a tutorial or something showing how to create icons as i would like to start making my own.
Well… you know, mate, there are no real tutorials on how to create icons and… even if there was one, it would be quite useless for several reasons.
First of all, there are lots of graphic programs out there, so it would take a specific tutorial for each one of them.
Second, the only good way to learn is the practice, because a tutorial can only explain some technique to draw, but it will never explain the creativity and the real technique can only be developed by experimenting.
So, I can only suggest you this:
1) Find a program to start practicing… for example, I use several programs, but the one I use to make my icons is “RealWorld Paint.COM” which is user friendly but at the same time has lots of professional features, so I think it’s very good to learn.
2) Don’t be afraid to start drawing everything you want: this way, you can experiment and learn lots of different procedures to obtain something.
3) Unleash your imagination because, as I always say to all those who want to start making themes, imagination is the only limit…
When you want to create something, you need to focus on how you would like to represent that thing, not how to draw it. (Lol! I know it seems a nonsense, but trust me, that’s the best way to learn… :P)
That being said, you only need to start doing what I just told you, my friend, and… obviously, if you need help for something, feel free to ask me whatever you want: I’ll be here! 😀

Well, I’m working on a MGS Rising theme for Jamesr631, at the moment.
But it’s a hard work, because there are no good images available for this game (damn you, Kojima! :P)
So, I took the only good one I found, but I also decided to create a whole background from scratch with my own hands as I did with my Darksiders theme: it means that, although I already made all the icons, it will still take a while to finish the theme.
Also, because of my health problems you already know, I can work only when I feel good… 😉
