Indeed! That’s exactly what I always said from the day the dynamic themes editor has been released: it is simply too limited for my tastes…
It only allows to replace few parts of existing themes, and for this reason, just after a couple of weeks, all themes have started to be too similar: that’s why I call them “pseudo-dynamic”…
Well, maybe it’s a good start, but the only real way to create good dynamic themes is to use the SDK provided by Sony (which is practically impossible for non-developers…) -

Well, I have to say that I like dynamic themes a bit more then the non dynamic ones, but I am very disappointed about the dynamic theme editor. I thought you could do more things… but all you can do is replaceing the images turn off some of the effects.
I think I´m going to make some other dynamic themes, but I will also stay “oldschool” with the non dynamic ones
