Ok, so i'm making a theme but i have a problem. I was putting icons into the theme with PS3 theme builder v 4.0-something and suddently i noticed that in the general section there are 2 weird icon things named: Default H and Default V. Before continuing the story i'll mention that only ones missing were upload and text chat icons. So, i put the upload icon in the Default H and the text chat icon in the Default V and i checked with my ps3 because XMS doesn't show these ones. Then i noticed that in my ps3 both the upload and the text chat had the same icon, the one that i put in Default V. then i took the icon from Default V and checked and there was no icon in either of them. So, now i'm asking that how can i put the upload icon and the text chat icon in their places. Thank you.

I haven't used Theme Builder in a long time, but if i remember correctly there is an icon manager in there for adding new icons. For the text chat put: icon_chatroom_text. The actual icon should be a .png file named: icon_chatroom_text_1.gim. For upload put: icon_video_upload. The actual icon should be a .png file named: icon_video_upload_1.gim. You might have to omit the 'gim' if that doesn't work.
Some extra info: Default H is for icons in the Horizontal part of the XMB.
Default V is for icons in the Vertical part of the XMB.
If Sony were to add a new icon in the future your Default H/V icon would be a place holder until we get the proper XML name for the new icon. (I think that's it works

Hmm... I did this: I created the icon in the video menu and named it upload, xml id: icon_video_upload, then i renamed the icon: icon_video_upload_1.gim and put it in the theme but when i put it in my ps3 it's still the original icon. I also did the same with text chat and it doesn't work either.

I just tested it using PS3 Theme Builder v3.0 (ppl say 4.0 gives them problems). Open your theme in the builder, open icon manager, select 'Video'. On the right side select 'Add New Icon' > Icon Name: Video Upload > Xml Id: icon_video_upload. Don't check box, press OK. Now select 'Friends'. On the right side select 'Add New Icon' > Icon Name: Chat Room Text > Xml Id: icon_chatroom_text. Don't check box, press OK (make sure your icon sizes are 128 x 128). Save & Close. In the Theme Builder go to 'Icon, Colors, Fonts' tab, select 'Video'. The word 'Video Upload' should be in the Sub-Menu Icons box. Next to that press the 'Browse' button and find your icon. Save. Now select 'Friends'. The word 'Chat Room Text' should be in the Sub-Menu Icons box. Next to that press the 'Browse' button and find your icon. Save. Continue to build your theme. Your PNG icons should be named icon_chatroom_text_1.gim & icon_video_upload_1.gim
