Hi, I created my first theme using the x64 Beta from lili-chan.
During the test with said tool, all background pictures were accepted and worked with the internal test run.
Now I used my theme with the PS3 and only about the half of the 9 HDs are shown. What is going wrong there?

Well, PS3 always shows the backgrounds randomly, but very often it can happen that it displays the same 3 or 4 for a certain period (especially when there are many backgrounds) even if you re-apply the theme several times (I suggest you to do this test, if you've not already, and see what happens)
If there was something wrong with the backgrounds, Theme Builder wouldn't even be able to build the theme, giving you an error message or something like that...

Yes, I knew that part about the random Wallpaper switching, that isn't the problem.
I have 9 different BG in the theme, only 4 or 5 of them appear. When I randomly hit one of the other BGs, the PS3 only shows me the standard PS3 background.
The same error appears with another theme that I bundled, consisting Batman screens. Some of those pics show, others leave me an "empty / standard" screen.
Feel free to test my theme yourself and check if you can see all 9 pics.
No idea if that could be the reason, but I think it ignores the larger half of the pics. Some of them are larger than 2MB, but I never heard that there would be any such restrictions.

Uhm, that's weird...
However, PS3 Theme Builder actually has restrictions for the backgrounds: their size must be less than 1MB, but it's strange anyway because it didn't give you error when building the theme... (unless restrictions have been removed in the 4.0 version: honestly I never checked it out, because I don't need that version)
As for testing your theme... well, I clicked on the link, but I found nothing (anyway, I'm not familiar with "rapidshare", so maybe it's my fault 
)...
In the meantime (just to be sure) you could try to reduce the backgrounds' size and rebuild the theme.

Yeah, it seems that quite a lot was removed. And I'm surprised that there isn't a new version out there yet.

Not so sure if I'll bother with theme creation when the restricitons are so harsh. I care more about detailed HD backgrounds than sounds, icons etc.
