Using my own custom dynamic Pro SlideShow template I created this theme of the PS3 stock theme Air Paint. There are 7 different HD images included within this theme. The images smoothly fade and the screen slowly zooms in/out. I have also included random start image within the script so when the XMB loads the PS3 selects a random image then carries on fading with the rest of the sequence.

Been thinkin ’bout the very same thing bro!! Sure they add new add-ons once in a while but the whole GUI remained the very same over the years. I’ll tell my employes ’bout this and will send ya (I dunno who’s admin?!) a preview if everyone wants this to be done , If you’re with me on this one ppl, just gimme a ho.

You need a PS3 dev kit to test the CPU. In themes they use Playstation javascript (PSJS). Yeah it’s my own script it took about 3-4 total hours to get right for firmware 4+. Only found out about the CPU (cache) limit after finishing lol
Since your a dev and you have used this site for a while why not give something back to the community and create a simple GUI for this?
It doesn’t need to be anything special just easy to use

I actually thought Faxtron would ask those questions (in a positive way lol) first. I created the script that way so that new themers do not brick their PS3′s lol. You can only use 1MB of CPU within a dynamic theme. So the more complex the script the more CPU will be used.
In this case the first image and the fade in make the CPU higher than normal. My first script you could have 15 HD images but you would have to wait 8 seconds for the slides to start .
Anyhow my script is © for now fella. Like I said to RADZ in a PM this is the Pro version and there are and will be more additions soon.
Also I may start a technical thread for 2D(plane) movement, 3D models(basic) movement and camera movement within a script. All info will be free but is not given for anyone to earn money from……Can anyone believe that I’ve been visiting this website since day one (nearly everyday LOL) but it’s actually the first time ever I’m postin a comment?! shame on me
BTW Glowball, no offense dude, just bein curious since I myself am a dev and my favorite field is CG, how can u determine CPU usage of a theme?!
What language they’re using?! and finally by 1 Mb CPU usage did you mean buffer usage?! CPU cache usage?! again bro, just bein curious.
you’re new theme seems to be utilizing some cool scripts instead of just recording some renders and trust me, ur themes are awesome. good luck bro

Would it be ok if I played with your script and figured stuff out for myself and uploaded the resulting theme here without telling what changes I made to your script? I don’t want to do something to your script that may offend you. Strictly respect yanomsayin’ lol. I do love to customize my stuff and share it too (and not for profit), like all of us here.
Or…will you be releasing an update with a config file maybe? that would be DOPE.
