  1. love it awesome theme, can you make some with Nautica Thorn, London Keyes, Jessica Bangkok , and Tera Patrick, my alsolute favs!! if not thanks for Asa Akira, perfect themes πŸ˜‰

  2. Yep, it was a very good action/platform/sci-fi game in every respect, one of the last at the end of the golden era (when Core Design was another great softwarehouse)…

Indeed, Darkstalkers 2 only came out on Saturn in 1996: in 1994, I immediately bought a Saturn just to play Virtua Fighter, Sega Rally and Daytona USA… and when Darkstalkers was released, I almost gone crazy!
Unfortunately, the console doesn’t work anymore for a long time πŸ™ and I’m still searching for the component I need to repair it: that’s why I absolutely wanted to find the Darkstalkers Collection, which has been released only in Japan.
Oh man, how I loved it! Yeah, I agree: Capcom wasn’t lazy at all! πŸ˜€

Oooh yeeeaaah, Emmanuelle! How could I forget? Shame on me!!! πŸ˜›
If I remember correctly, the designer was Muriel Tramis, the same who made Fascination and Gobliiiiins!

  3. Oh and the game I was talking about, is Emmanuelle lol it was an erotic TV show very famous in france. So they made a game of that? πŸ˜€ Interesting…

  4. Wow nice intro! Kind of a futuristic “Altered Beast”? πŸ˜€

    I like the music too!

For Darkstalkers I have the 1st and the 3rd (the second only came out on sega saturn) but in the 3rd you can choose the game system (night warriors/vampire hunter/vampire hunter 2/vampire savior and vampire savior 2) so it’s like a “all in one game” I love it so much. You see, Capcom wasn’t that Lazy at that time.

  5. Sorry if I’m late, my friend: I was searching for the title you told me about in my floppy disks collection.
Well, I’ve not found it yet, but yeah, I remember a game like that: the problem is that for the first time I don’t remember the name! πŸ˜›
Maybe is Fascination, or it could even be Leisure Suit Larry… uuh, I think my brain’s gone… O_o

Another great game you should try is Wolfchild, developed by Core Design: a very good game (and I think it’s been the one with the longest intro of that times)

Oh man, Darkstalkers: I loved it! I spent tons of months playing it, and 2 years ago I managed to find the Darkstalkers Collection for PS2, thanks to my japanese friend.

  6. Optimus, never heard of those games I had to see what it looks like. I had a bunch of floppy disks with my atari ST, maybe like 50 or 60. But I don’t remember them all. I know I had SFII, ArkanoΓ―d, Bomb Jack, Fred, Buggy Boy, Techno Cop, Bionic Commando, a pool game, a pinball game… Oh and a game of seduction πŸ˜€ I don’t remember the title but what I do remember is that the guy was poppin’ the champagn every time he scored with a chick XD if you can find the title for me man.

And yeah I love Capcom πŸ™‚ the 90’s Capcom, at its pride, when they did Rival Schools, DarkStalkers, Pocket Fighters…

  7. wow very nice games , heavy rain & fahrenheit
i played heavy rain so many times i got 81% of the trophies,
& fahrenheit was 1of the best games i played in ps2 i still have the game but i dont have a ps2 πŸ™

  8. LOL! You really love Capcom, huh? πŸ˜›
    (don’t forget they made Rival Schools… :D)

Yeah, Quantic Dream’s made a great work with Heavy Rain! Yep, it was the first, but unfortunately it’ll be the only one of its kind πŸ™
    And there’s a thing I regret: I still have to play Fahrenheit…! πŸ™

Hey, mate, did you find those 2 old Ubisoft’s games I told you above?

  9. SC4 is still the most beautiful 3D fighting game on PS3/Xbox360. And have a lot of things to do online and offline, a lot of custom possiblities (Yeah screw you Capcom and your 4$ costumes).

I loved heavy rain guys, i need to agree with you. It was the first of its kind, very well made and full of great ideas. I really enjoyed that game. But hey who’s behind that? Oh Sony, well not a surprise! πŸ˜‰

  10. i liked SC4, not as much as 3 but i liked it. shenmue was one of my favorite games ever. i don’t know what this says about me but i think heavy rain was magical and doesn’t seem like it was made for the money, they took chance on that one.

  11. SC4 I did not like & I’ve been a fan since day one. I still play Tekken 5 all the time but have not got around to 6.

Man, SC4 was a waste of my money. Last game I pre-ordered.

  12. Hey T-cal nice to see you.

For Soul Calibur I agree, but Namco always did a great job, for Tekken 6 I wasn’t disappointed, and the ridge racer serie never changed. I think that they care about their fans, fans from day one.

  13. T-Cal:

Just to add my 2cents, SOUL CALIBUR!!!!Maybe, SC5(rumors) will be better than SC4.

    Oh yeah, Soul Calibur!
The very first on PS1 (real name Soul Edge) has been great!
If they will really make a SC5, well, I hope they’ll get back to origins…

  14. ShadowSkilz:

Oh man, Rayman, there’s no better exemple… Guess it’s easier for Ubisoft to make all those Raving Rabbids. What a shame.
But I agree with you, there are many exceptions of course. Like the GTA series, it only got better and better (even if San Andreas is still way better than GTA IV imo)…

Yep! Rayman has been the perfect example of how oniric and dreamy a game could be… and when I saw those damn rabbits for the first time, I almost started crying because of disappointment! πŸ™
But, considering they made Rayman Origins, maybe Ubisoft has understood that its Rayman should still represent an example of that magic…

Yeah, GTA can be another example: well, maybe it’s not so “poetic”, but it also has some kind of magic.
I really liked San Andreas, but the one I absolutely loved has been Vice City: I think its charm is unsurpassed (especially because it is set in my beloved 80s :P)

By the way, speaking of Ubisoft and old games…
There are two good games, made by Ubisoft back in the 80s, you should try:

    -Puffy’s Saga
    -Night Hunter

The first is like a pacman clone and the second is a Dracula game, but both are very well done, really inspired and full of good ideas.

  15. @Shadow – Wzup! Layin Low? I feel ya. Gaming companies care about $$$. Im not a fan of microtransactions. Yea, Im still hopin for a new Rival School too…… MVC3 was cool, but there’s no advantage being defensive in that game.

Just to add my 2cents, SOUL CALIBUR!!!!
Maybe, SC5(rumors) will be better than SC4.

  17. Oh man, that’s exactly what I always thought! I can only (and sadly) agree with you…
There’s no more magic in today’s games, that spark of fantasy which always excited me has gone: even a simple Kula World was able to emotionally involve me, not to mention games like Rayman for example, which overflowed magic and poetry from every single pixel, thanks to the inspired design, the carefree colours, or its magnificent musics. Ubisoft was able to kill Rayman from the second game on PS2, already… πŸ™
Well, I have to admit there are some exceptions like Ico, or the upcoming The Last Guardian (I hope), but now the games seem to compete only to show which of them has the greatest number of poligons, or the best special-f**king-whatever 3/4/5D effects: no more magic, no more fantasy, no more imagination, no more emotions, only technologic innovation… but they’ve not yet understood that innovation is not always synonimous of improvement!!!
Maybe I’m a hopeless romantic, but magic is dead… that’s why I miss the good old days so much! πŸ™

  18. If Shenmue 3 is really gonna be made, I hope they won’t screw everything up.

I think it will never be as good as Shenmue 1 anyway…

Look at what Sega did for Sonic 4, it’s a joke… I mean some of the greatest games we knew, there’s something magic about that, from that period, something that remains to the past, it ain’t the same now, guess we gotta deal with it…

Optimus my man, I know I said so many times that I’m hoping for a new Rival Schools, but now, think about it… With Capcom, I know it’s not gonna be a good thing. Something like a ugly-ass 3D design, no mini-games (just online play), bunch of DLCs… Nothing like the masterpiece we know.

Nowadays they’re only making games for money, not for passion, I guess that’s all. The best is behind us anyway, and you know that.

oh man i hear u. i let my nephew who was about 23 at that time borrow my dreamcast and all the games i had for it (wasn’t many cuz i was in the process of replacing what was stolen from me). he scratched every disc to the point where they could not be resurfaced. i greet him but that’s about it.

    Oooh $hit! That’s a thing I really cannot stand!!!
As I said, I always try to not lend these things, but the only time I did, it’s been a real misfortune! I keep all my consoles and cartridges/floppy disks/CDs as if they were relics since 1979: I always liked to collect them, and I still regret what happened… πŸ™

Oh, man, the Dreamcast! Sometimes I still play games like Crazy Taxi or Sonic, but most of all the great Shenmue: I’m still hoping that Yu Suzuki finally decides to make the third…

  20. oh man i hear u. i let my nephew who was about 23 at that time borrow my dreamcast and all the games i had for it (wasn’t many cuz i was in the process of replacing what was stolen from me). he scratched every disc to the point where they could not be resurfaced. i greet him but that’s about it.

  21. Yep, and if I remember correctly, every creature has elemental powers, right?

Yeah, I tried to make a copy several times and in different ways, but the cd was too ruined (damn, the only time I lent a game!) πŸ™
That bastard… I’ve disowned him for life! XD

  22. Yeah as a Studio Ghibli fan, I really like the “universe” of that game. It brings you a lot of possibilities, since you can mix every creatures together (and there’s like 170 different ones) and create your own original one.

    Oh man… Your cousin… Unforgivable lol…

  23. Hey, my friend! Oh man, are you having split personality problems?!? πŸ˜€
(but I really prefer this one)

Well, I never been a fan of the “traditional” japanese RPGs, but… yeah!
Jade Cocoon-Tamamayu Monogatari, developed by Genki in 1998: I bought it because the characters design was made by Katsuya Kondo of the Studio Ghibli! Maybe that’s the only J-RPG I liked, because the gameplay was not so bad and there was also something like a “virtual pets” management (if I remember correctly) with which it was possible to breed the animals found in the world (minions was their name…?) and use them during the fights.
But one day, my cousin has irreparably scratched the cd… πŸ™

  24. Hey guys !!! πŸ˜€

Optimus, please tell me you already played that game on the PSone, named Jade Cocoon.

Can’t find it right now because it’s kinda rare, so I’m playing it on emulator. But man, I used to love this game when I was a child, even if I never was a big fan of RPGs.

@OPTIMUSwelcome back as well. i’m sorry i missed ur return and i hope things r going well with the job search. i’m starting to wish that i did comment more because i feel like i’m missing out the comraderie that a lot of u guys share.

    Thanks, mate!
So, you’re another “anonymous” fan, huh? πŸ˜›
You know, before leaving I always conversed with all those I thought were the only ones interested to talk with me: many of them were already friends of mine like Yogosan, F-Rott or Dahl, for example, but continuing to talk with everyone, many others became my new friends (like “Nippo_No_Hentai” [we know who he really is, right? ;)], Jason2590, Adyp, PS3Worldz, Doom, Dead_ng and lots of others…) and when I’m back I found out I had tons of fans, so… yeah, I think you should comment a little more πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜›
Anyway, don’t worry about having missed my return: the only thing that matters is that you’re one of those fans who appreciate our themes! πŸ˜€

  26. @OPTIMUS
welcome back as well. i’m sorry i missed ur return and i hope things r going well with the job search. i’m starting to wish that i did comment more because i feel like i’m missing out the comraderie that a lot of u guys share.

  27. Did you see? Everyone recognized you, my friend!!! There was no need to disappear and then come back with a new name… 8)
And sorry for my frankness, but… please, stop making only 18+ themes πŸ˜› (there are lot of people that make them already): I’m still waiting for Soul Calibur, too!
    So… where’s my best OTAKU ever??? πŸ˜€

  28. if ur who i think u r, then i’ve been a fan since the chun-li theme. actually long before then, i just don’t comment much. still waiting for the soul calibur theme btw.

  29. u have no idea of how hard i kicked myself in the for not catching the style of my favorite theme maker. i’m being summoned and and to cut this short so i’ll just say welcome back.
