I got it because I have been with Sony since the bigging and because of MGS4. MGS1 for the PS1 was the very first game I played on the Playstation, been an all time fan since. Why did you buy a PS3?

I bought mine because of a few different reasons:
# Always liked the Playstation consoles
# Blu-Ray player (I watch alot of movies)
# I bought mine on release and then Motorstorm and Resistance looked awesome :)
But I must say it's been quite a long wait for some really good games. But now this month was an overload instead with titles such as COD4, R&C, Assassins Creed and Uncharted.

I recon it will shine in the coming years. Personally I think Xbox is a bit overrated. Ps3 has Blu ray, free online, motion sensors, better graphics, motorstorm etc. I still hold no regrets for buying a ps3 over an xbox, and I think it is slowly starting to prove itself in being the better console.

I bought my ps3 because all my friends have them and i wanted to kill them online. Also because of the games, graphics, blu-ray and the sheer awesomeness
My ps3 purchase was the last one on the list having the other systems i felt a whole were the best of them, should be i must say since i bought my ps3 i have yet to play those other systems.
why you ask im wit sony through and through all the countless hours ps1) tomb raider 1 final fantasy 7 8 9 mgs1 jetmoto 1 2 twisted metal 1 2 ps2) final fantasy 10 11 12 SotC mgs 2 3 ssx ssx tricky resident evil CV and 4 ratchet and clank series and jak series gran trursmo devil may cry 1 3 list goes on ps3) elder scrolls resistance unreal tournament assassins creed guitar hero 3 darkness and a little thing called blu-ray and yet to be released mgs4 ff 13 littlebigplanet gta 4 gt 5 killzone 2 fallout 3 dead space ff13 vs. to put it simple friends the future looks very bright
I actually had a 360 at first it was given as a gift. I liked it but I was frustrated by the fact I had to pay to get online, I just think its crap I have to pay for my internet and for my internet games. So ps3 came out and I made a choice because...
1. It's Sony, enough said.
2. PS, PS2, are we seeing a pattern? Both previous consoles were amazing.
3. Entertainment center, it does it all. I've started a campaign to convert all movies to digital format and sony lets me do that easily. Also pictures and music all in one.
4. Removable hard drive, and not some giant brick that costs way to much and has zero ability to provide me with large storage space. Yes I want 500 gigs of storage space, hell I might want a terabyte.
5. Sixaxis, thank you sony for actually changing games with a new concept and being next-gen. You can say the same thing about the Wii but they just made nintendo with the gay glove in stick form.
6. Providing the ability to make themes and allow me to customize my system.
7. Ability to connect my psp with my ps3. Trust me its nice to be able to do this.
8. Bluetooth, yes this is the next generation of wireless technology and sony was smart enough to incorporate it.
9. Blu ray, yes this is next generation of disc technology and sony was smart- wait I already said this those sony guys are really smart.
10. Rechargeable controllers, that come with the console! I would burn through batteries with the 360 it was costing me a fortune.
11. To piss 360 fan boys off. Yes a small reason for buying a ps3 was just to hear 360 fanboys bitch and run around with their hair on fire and call me a looser for buying a crap product. It's fun because I have a 360 I enjoy playing it and my only problem with it is that I think ps3 is just a better product with next gen technology and ideas. Yet they still want to whimper over their choice and mine.
