Well a couple of ways.
Deviant art is ok but so many morons post crap that you have to search for hours to find any thing worth using. Still I use it because good icons are hard to come by.
http://www.iconarchive.com/ - I found this on a yahoo search for icons, it was the third choice and second website, it's really that easy.
make your own, there are programs out there that help you create icons or use something like photoshop.
